Our Frontline Ambulance Provision:

Most ambulance services in the UK are provided by the National Health Service (NHS). However, there are also a number of private ambulance services (like us!) that operate alongside the NHS.

Private ambulance services provide a range of different solutions, from patient transport to emergency care. In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of private ambulance services operating in the UK. This is due to a number of factors, but mainly the increasing pressure the NHS is facing. Private ambulance services play an important role in maintaining high-quality and reactive ambulance services to patients across the UK.

Medicare are proud to support three NHS Ambulance Services across the south of the UK. We provide over 30 emergency vehicles per day to the NHS to respond to 999 calls on behalf of the Trust.

Medicare’s frontline fleet includes over 70 bespoke ambulances capable of responding to emergency calls.

With the exception of our bariatric vehicles, our current operating fleet are category B, each with independent evidence of sufficiently approved and plated with gross weight limits, which facilitates carrying the fully stocked vehicle with crew, patient and passengers. They are also low emission diesels and the majority of the fleet is under 2 years of age and at least EURO 6 compliant as a minimum, supporting the NHS Green Agenda (Greener NHS).

Our fleet is capable of transporting:

  • Patients who are incapable of walking.
  • Patients who are fit to sit.
  • Patients who require transport in a wheelchair.
  • Patients who require a stretcher.
  • Patients who are to be transported with medical escorts.
Our EMS Academy is equipped to provide clinical and emergency driving courses. We support the NHS Ambulance by taking learners and supporting them to reach their goals.

We understand that the NHS is under significant pressure to provide the CERAD course to their existing workforce. To ease this pressure, Medicare provides back-to-back CERAD courses to the NHS workforce to allow them to continue their career with the NHS.

Our event medical cover includes:

Medical cover is vital for any event, big or small. It ensures that guests and attendees are safe and cared for during the event. We have a team of over 400 dedicated pre-hospital care clinicians who specialise in event medicine.

We provide all the equipment, consumables and medicines required to ensure that your event is safe and your guests will receive the same level of care as the NHS Ambulance Service. Depending on the nature of your event, we can provide frontline emergency ambulances capable of transporting any patients to a hospital. We work with the local NHS Ambulance Service to ensure any specialist pathways are communicated to our team, ensuring that your guests receive the same level of care that they would from the NHS Ambulance Service.
We provide all the medical equipment and supplies that you will need for your event. Many events require on-site medical support, and having the right medical equipment and supplies on hand is essential to providing quality care. If you don’t have a plan in place already, we can determine the type and quantity of medical supplies that you will need, as well as the number of medical staff that will be required to support your event. We take the additional stress away by providing medical equipment and consumables, so you don’t need to worry about the governance framework that sits behind medical suppliers and medicines.

We are constantly scanning the industry for developments and advancements in medical equipment and interventions. We guarantee your guests will be treated with the best medical equipment, consumables, and therapeutic interventions that the industry has to offer.

Medicare’s fleet includes over 70 bespoke ambulances capable of responding to emergency calls. Our vehicles includes bariatric capable ambulances, road ambulances and vehicles with 4 x 4 capabilities. All our vehicles are capable of transporting patients and the dynamic fleet will be guaranteed to be fit for purpose regardless of the terrain at your event.

With the exception of our bariatric vehicles, our current operating fleet are category B, each with independent evidence of sufficiently approved and plated with gross weight limits, which facilitates carrying the fully stocked vehicle with crew, patient and passengers. They are also low emission diesels, and the majority of the fleet is under 2 years of age and at least EURO 6 compliant as a minimum, supporting the NHS Green Agenda (Greener NHS).

  • Patients who require transport in a wheelchair.
  • Patients who require a stretcher.
  • Patients who are to be transported with medical escorts.
A full medical team is essential to ensure the health and safety of event attendees. Event paramedics provide emergency cover in the event of an accident or medical emergency, and event nurses can provide first aid and medical advice.

The medical team can also help to evacuate guests in the event of an emergency, such as a fire. In addition, the medical team can provide support for guests with disabilities. By having a full medical team on hand, events can be held safely and smoothly.
As any event planner knows, on-site event management is a critical part of successful event planning. Not only do you need to be able to coordinate with venue staff and vendors, but you also need to be prepared for any potential emergencies that may occur. One way to ensure that you are prepared for anything is to have an ambulance on site.

In the event of a medical emergency, having an ambulance on site can help to ensure that participants receive prompt medical attention. Additionally, having an ambulance on site can also help to provide peace of mind for participants and their families. As a result, on-site event management is not complete without an ambulance on standby.
