The Ambulance Support Worker (Level 3) apprenticeship is designed for those looking to work within emergency, urgent, and non-urgent care settings. As an Ambulance Support Worker (ASW), you will assist in responding to emergency (999) calls and provide clinical support across various healthcare environments. This includes handling non-urgent transport for individuals with specific medical needs and offering basic life-saving techniques when required.
Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Ambulance Support Worker Apprenticeship, apprentices can pursue higher roles within ambulance services, such as Associate Ambulance Practitioner or further development into senior healthcare roles. The skills gained also open up pathways for becoming a paramedic with additional qualifications.
